Ingredients for Baked Garlic Butter Double Brie

  • 1 wheel of Double Brie cheese, top-scored into a diagonal pattern

  • 50g unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley

  • Black pepper to season

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 large baguette sliced or seeded crackers

Method for Baked Garlic Butter Double Brie

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Slice the baguette, place the pieces of bread on a lined baking tray, and drizzle a little olive oil over the top. Place into the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until golden and crunchy. Remove and set on a serving board.

In a small saucepan over low heat, add butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and season well with pepper. Cook over low heat until the butter has completely melted and the garlic is soft, roughly about 4-5 minutes. Turn off the heat and set aside.

Place the Brie wheel in a baking dish. Use a knife to score the rind of the brie in a diagonal pattern. If you prefer, you can leave the rind on for added texture, or remove the top layer for a gooier center.

Carefully pour the melted garlic butter over the top of the brie, making sure the top of the cheese is completely covered in garlic butter, allowing the butter to fall in between the scored sections.

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the Brie is gooey and soft. Remove from the oven and allow to set for a few minutes before serving.

Arrange sliced baguettes or crackers around the Brie for a variety of textures. The crunchy elements will complement the creamy, melted cheese.

Buon Appetito!
