One pot wonder with delicious Slow Cooker Beef Stew. This dish is the definition of comfort food.
Using the very delicious and amazing Bone Roasters Red Wine Jus was the perfect addition to this amazing slow cooked beef stew.
Slow cooked for 7-8 hours, the depth of flavour is incredible and makes you go back for seconds.
Slow Cooker Beef Stew
1 kg beef chuck steak, diced
300g Bone Roasters Red Wine Jus
1 large onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, sliced
2 carrots, peeled & cut vertically
2 celery sticks, cut vertically
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup beef stock
2 cups of water
2 tbsp olive oil
3 bay leaves
Salt & pepper to season
Season beef with salt & pepper. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Cook the beef in batches, until evenly browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes. Add into a slow cooker.
Add garlic, onion, carrots and celery. Stir in red wine jus, tomato paste, stock, water & bay leaves. Season with salt & pepper.
Cover & cook on low heat for 8 hours or high heat for 3-4 hours.
Serve immediately, along aside creamy mash potatoes.
