"Pangrattato" is basically Italian for breadcrumbs. Day old bread works wonders for this dish. I personally wouldn't use store bought breadcrumbs as it gives it a different flavour altogether.
There is a few different versions to make this classic dish, but I like to keep it simple. It's so simple that you probably have all the ingredients at home.

500g Barilla orecchiette
1 cup of fresh breadcrumbs made from day old ciabatta bread
3 cloves garlic minced
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp chilli flakes
1/2 cup finely chopped parsley
6 anchovy fillets minced
squeeze of lemon juice
1. Cook the orecchiette according to packet instructions. Once cooked, drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water. Set aside and start on the breadcrumb mixture.
2. In a fry pan on medium heat, add olive oil and garlic. Cook until fragrant. Add the breadcrumbs, chilli flakes and anchovies and combine and cook until breadcrumbs start to turn golden.
3. Add parsley, lemon juice and reserved pasta water. Cook for a further minute.
4. Turn the heat off and add the orecchiette and combine well. Season with salt if needed.
